Lead pre-sales and post-sales technical engagements to help customers adopt Aiven's managed open-source services. Conduct proofs-of-concept, ensure customer stability and enablement, support sales processes, create technical content (blogs, webinars, talks), and travel up to 20% to build and maintain customer relationships.

Manage inbound and outbound sales activities to generate and qualify leads, build pipeline, and close deals. Meet or exceed sales targets, maintain accurate CRM records, and coordinate with marketing and operations to drive customer satisfaction and order fulfillment.

Lead a Sales Operations team within RevOps to own forecasting, pipeline health, territory and quota planning, and automated self-service intelligence. Build LLM-based automations and agentic workflows on Salesforce, partner with regional Sales VPs and Finance, and coach a small distributed team to replace manual requests with automated insights.

Lead the design and operation of Aiven's global rewards strategy for Europe, managing compensation, benefits, stock option administration, job architecture, and reward analytics. Advise senior leaders and the executive team, drive process improvements and automation (including AI), produce market benchmarking and insights, and ensure equitable, compliant, scalable reward programs that support talent retention and business growth.

Serve as a strategic HR partner to C-suite and VP leaders: co-create people strategy, drive talent density, succession planning, manager accountability, levelling and total rewards alignment, workforce planning, mentor PBPs, and influence company-wide People priorities.

Build and run a reusable internal automation platform (starting in Finance). Design observable, versioned production workflows, integrate systems (NetSuite, billing, payments), implement human-in-the-loop and autonomous agent flows, and partner with platform owners to scale automation across the company.

Develop and execute go-to-market strategy for AI products: define positioning and messaging, conduct market and competitive analysis, enable sales, coordinate launches, gather customer insights, and measure product performance.

Build and operate backend services in Python to manage ClickHouse lifecycle, maintain CI/CD pipelines, investigate production issues down to Linux internals, write type-checked async code, participate in planning and code reviews, and use AI-assisted development to accelerate delivery.

Own full-cycle enterprise sales in the UKI: generate 100% self-sourced pipeline, qualify and close new logos using MEDDPICC and Challenger methodologies, engage Director/VP technical stakeholders, collaborate with Solutions and Customer Success for POCs and onboarding, and meet quota metrics (6 new logos/year, $150K average ARR).

This role involves developing customer relationships, providing technical strategy, performing operational reviews, advocating for customer interests, and collaborating with sales teams.

Work as a full-stack engineer on Aiven Apps: design and implement features, RESTful APIs, iterate console UX, own end-to-end delivery, maintain technical foundations, and mentor the team.

Own and scale OEM and strategic technology partnerships across AMER to drive partner-sourced and partner-influenced ARR. Build partner programs, recruit partners, negotiate OEM/ISV agreements, coordinate sales, marketing, engineering, and product to execute joint GTM, and demonstrate quantified revenue growth and partner-influenced pipeline.

Own go-to-market for Aivens core open-source products: develop positioning and competitive messaging for technical buyers, produce sales enablement content, run competitive intelligence and webinars, plan product launches, and align with DevRel, demand gen, and sales to convert developer adoption into enterprise deals.

Own and optimize the end-to-end self-serve user lifecycle from sign-up to activation, conversion, retention, and expansion. Design nurture programs, in-product messaging, segmentation frameworks, and monetization interventions. Partner with Product and Data to define activation/health signals, build automated responses, and report on activation, conversion, expansion, and churn metrics.

Build and maintain managed open-source data services (e.g., DataHub) on Aiven. Work full-stack (Python backend and React/TypeScript frontend), upstream OSS contributions, and design production-ready AI pipelines (synthetic metadata, text-to-SQL, automated discovery) to create a unified context layer for data platforms.

Develop and maintain managed PostgreSQL and analytics services: write production-quality Python code, optimize OLTP and OLAP performance, build ETL and data pipelines, automate operations, improve scalability and reliability, troubleshoot customer issues, conduct PR reviews, and mentor engineers.

Develop and maintain automation and operational tooling for PostgreSQL, MySQL and Valkey services. Write high-quality Python code, participate in design and PR reviews, troubleshoot customer incidents, improve scalability, reliability, backups, performance, security fixes, and mentor other engineers.

Design and deliver partner-specific solutions for PostgreSQL, MySQL and Valkey services. Write and review high-quality Python code, automate processes, improve scalability, reliability and operational quality, investigate and resolve customer issues, collaborate with product teams, and mentor engineers.

Build and maintain automation and operational tooling for PostgreSQL, MySQL and Valkey services.
