Own the embedded hardware-software integration for semiconductor inspection and metrology equipment. Design synchronized triggering and acquisition systems, integrate cameras, frame grabbers, motion stages, lasers, and FPGA timing hardware, and develop C/C++ and Python drivers and control layers. Configure instrument PCs and lab networks, debug hardware and software in the lab, support live data streams, and help transition prototypes into maintainable production tools.

Designs mechanical hardware for semiconductor metrology equipment, including housings, frames, wafer tables, and support structures. Develops concepts into production-ready drawings, selects materials and finishes, and ensures manufacturability. Collaborates with CNC shops and suppliers on quotes, tolerances, design changes, and delivery. Performs relevant FEM, thermal, and dynamic analysis, then assembles and tests designs in the lab.

Run the measurement-to-results workflow for semiconductor imaging and metrology systems. Design and execute optical scans, configure Python/JAX reconstructions, assess image quality, investigate artifacts and convergence issues, and convert partner test cases into automated workflows. Collaborate closely with optics and hardware engineers to design experiments, improve algorithms, and guide tool development.
