Owns day-to-day accounting for a manufacturing portfolio company, including full month-end close, AR, AP, reconciliations, payroll entries, fixed assets, taxes, inventory valuation, WIP, standard costing, job costing, and variance analysis. The role also cleans up acquired books, supports purchase accounting, audits, tax packages, covenant reporting, government contracting requirements, and back-office administration including benefits, onboarding, payroll, and compliance support.

Leads business development across AIC’s portfolio companies, setting strategy, building Department of Defense and commercial pipelines, managing capture and proposals, developing cross-portfolio opportunities, standardizing reporting, and mentoring BD teams. The role requires substantial government contracting and industrial sales experience, frequent travel, and onsite work five days per week in Brooklyn or El Segundo.

Lead technical staff and develop production software across the full stack, including data models, ETL, APIs, frontend, algorithms, hardware integrations, ML pipelines, and infrastructure. Embed with manufacturing partners, translate observations into requirements, coordinate technical teams, and manage software and process-engineering deployments. Build stakeholder trust, train users, drive change management, and own operational and financial outcomes.

Leads business development across AIC’s portfolio companies, developing portfolio-wide strategy, DOD and commercial customer relationships, capture plans, proposals, pipelines, and cross-company teaming opportunities. Partners with operating teams and portfolio leadership to generate and close significant new business, build repeatable BD processes, support M&A diligence, and develop BD talent. The role is onsite five days weekly and requires frequent travel.

Lead the company’s legal function as its first lawyer, managing acquisitions, corporate governance, financings, portfolio-company legal support, regulatory compliance, commercial risk, intellectual property, employment matters, insurance, and entity management. Build scalable legal infrastructure, negotiate and close transactions, oversee outside counsel, and support regulated aerospace and defense operations involving ITAR, EAR, FAR/DFARS, FAA, and environmental requirements.
