Provides meal service support for residents and guests, including food and beverage preparation, dining room setup, tray delivery, table clearing, dishwashing, kitchen cleaning, catering, and special events. Assists with training new dietary employees and follows food safety, health, safety, and departmental procedures. Requires a Food Handler’s Certificate, physical ability to handle hot and heavy items, and a Vulnerable Sector Check.

Supports meal service for residents and guests by preparing beverages, salads, desserts, and dining areas; serving meals and trays; setting and clearing tables; washing dishware; maintaining kitchen cleanliness; assisting with catering and special events; and supporting new employee orientation. Must follow food safety, health, and departmental procedures while providing courteous service to residents.

Plans and facilitates meaningful recreation and leisure activities for long-term care residents. Supports resident engagement, skill development, relationships, and wellbeing through structured and spontaneous programming. Communicates with residents, families, volunteers, and community partners; documents participation changes; contributes to care planning, program evaluation, and quality improvement.
