Teams at African Management Institute (AMI)

Build and evolve AMI’s Elixir/Phoenix learning platform, data infrastructure, and coach bot services. Responsibilities include full-stack development, PostgreSQL and Ecto work, data pipeline design, experimentation, AI/LLM feature integration, and collaboration with learning and content teams. The role provides technical leadership, mentors engineers, owns significant systems end to end, and supports scalable digital learning services serving hundreds of thousands of learners.

Lead Rwanda-level delivery for a multi-country green economy and youth empowerment portfolio. Responsibilities include programme planning, budget and deadline tracking, partner and stakeholder coordination, event management, monitoring and evaluation, reporting, safeguarding, GESI integration, and local administrative support. The role requires managing multiple workstreams, coordinating with central teams and donors, and travelling across Rwanda with occasional regional travel.

Supports the design and development of learning programmes, courses, assessments, and materials across instructor-led, virtual, and self-directed formats. Conducts learning needs analysis, incorporates feedback, supports quality assurance and testing, interprets learner data, and collaborates with senior designers, subject matter experts, and project teams. This growth role requires foundational adult learning knowledge, strong organisation, attention to detail, data literacy, and willingness to develop greater design autonomy.
