Provides clinical and service leadership overnight, acting as a resource for staff on patient care, transfers, incidents, and system issues. Coordinates admissions/transfers, investigates incidents/medication errors, liaises with providers and administration, ensures regulatory compliance, and fills Safety Officer duties when needed.

Manage and maintain research databases, create and run data queries, prepare reports, perform data migration and quality review, conduct chart abstraction, coordinate study activities including patient scheduling and specimen collection, and provide administrative support for clinical research studies.

Provide expert ophthalmology/optometry coding education and support, onboard and audit clinicians, resolve coding inquiries, monitor Epic charge workflows, refine documentation tools, ensure regulatory compliance, and collaborate across clinical and informatics teams to improve coding accuracy and reduce denials.
