Develop and support applications handling complex financial business processes. Serve as a lead developer and subject matter expert across cross-functional projects, guide quality assurance from development through production, troubleshoot issues, and contribute to roadmaps, standards, process improvement, documentation, and system redesign. Collaborate with distributed teams to deliver scalable solutions and translate business requirements into effective technical solutions.

Administer, secure, patch, and maintain enterprise Linux servers and virtual machines across on-premises and Azure environments. Automate operations with Bash and PowerShell, support Azure DevOps CI/CD pipelines and Docker workloads, manage identity integration, storage, filesystems, auditing, and security hardening. Collaborate with cybersecurity teams on compliance remediation and audit support while operating independently within a small cross-functional IT and security team.

Maintains and enhances a state Department’s Vital Statistics System using RPG applications on IBM AS/400. Responsibilities include application development, production troubleshooting, debugging, testing, validation, technical documentation, stakeholder collaboration, and enterprise metrics support. The role requires extensive recent RPG programming experience, business-critical application support, and onsite availability in Montgomery, Alabama.
