Performs rope-access nondestructive testing inspections, including equipment setup and calibration, radiographic interpretation, defect detection, specialized examinations, results evaluation, and report preparation. Ensures compliance with applicable standards and safety requirements and may instruct or supervise other technicians. Requires Rope Access Level I or II certification, RT state carded trainer status, NDT technical knowledge, inspection interpretation skills, and a high school diploma or equivalent.

Performs laboratory failure analysis of mechanical and materials components. Documents samples and test results through photography, sketches, tables, worksheets, and spreadsheets. Prepares samples for metallographic examination and conducts hardness, spectrometry, electrical, and pressure testing. Operates and maintains laboratory equipment, saws, blasting equipment, and hand and power tools while following industrial safety practices. Work may occur in the laboratory or field.

Performs Level II nondestructive testing inspections using MT, PT, UTT, radiography, and other methods. Sets up and calibrates equipment, establishes examination techniques, evaluates results against applicable standards, interprets inspection readings, prepares reports, conducts specialized inspections, and may supervise or instruct other technicians while following strict safety requirements.
