Performs strenuous manual labor on highway and heavy construction projects, including site preparation, excavation, trenching, grading, material handling, concrete formwork, traffic control, equipment signaling, and temporary structure installation. Maintains safe, clean jobsites, follows construction plans and safety procedures, reports hazards, and supports craft workers. Work occurs outdoors in Arizona and may involve extended, weekend, or evening hours.

Leads underground wet utility pipe-laying work for storm and sanitary sewers and water mains. Reviews plans, utilities, grades, and layouts; coordinates with equipment operators and project supervisors; sets and verifies line and grade; digs and protects trenches; positions and seals pipe; maintains site safety, tools, and cleanliness; and supports timely, quality project completion in outdoor conditions.
