Provides primary care in a rural health clinic for patients of all ages. Responsibilities include assessments, diagnosis and treatment of acute and chronic conditions, prescribing, ordering and interpreting diagnostics, preventive care, counseling, referrals, EMR documentation, care coordination, regulatory compliance, quality improvement, and clinic staff leadership.

Provides direct patient care in a clinic under provider guidance, including monitoring vital signs, collecting histories, assisting with procedures, phlebotomy, medication and vaccination administration, point-of-care testing, and patient education. Documents care and orders accurately in the EMR, maintains HIPAA confidentiality, supports providers, and collaborates with interdisciplinary teams while promoting safe, compassionate patient wellness.

Greet and check in/out patients, manage scheduling and insurance verification, update EMR records, answer and route calls, collect payments, maintain lobby flow, order supplies, support outreach/enrollment and reporting, and uphold HIPAA and confidentiality standards.

Provide attending physician oversight and direct care for long-term care residents, collaborate with APPs and facility teams, perform evaluations, rounds, documentation, and support care planning to reduce avoidable hospitalizations.

Provide clinical collaboration and supervision for psychiatric advanced practice providers delivering telemedicine to long-term care residents. Offer consults on complex cases, medication management, resident safety, escalation/transfer decisions, periodic chart review, regulatory compliance, and quality improvement. Support safe psychotropic use, monitoring, and dose reduction efforts. Maintain collaborative practice documentation and participate in limited quality meetings. Routine direct patient care is not expected unless separately arranged.
