The role requires hands-on technical leadership, complex solution design, customer collaboration, and active Secret clearance in the Chantilly, Virginia area.

Supports a 24/7 End User Monitoring Operations Center in a DoD environment. Responsibilities include network and cloud monitoring, major incident command and coordination, ServiceNow ITSM, stakeholder communications, SOP development, troubleshooting across enterprise networks and Azure environments, and technical guidance for Zero Trust and software-defined networking initiatives. The engineer also performs operational watch duties, mentors junior technicians, and may act as Watch Officer on a rotating 12-hour shift.

Designs, deploys, automates, secures, and maintains VDI environments using Hyper-V, VMware, Azure, Windows, and Linux technologies. Responsibilities include building base images, optimizing infrastructure performance and scalability, developing provisioning automation, monitoring logs and metrics, troubleshooting network and application issues, supporting cloud migration, applying security and compliance standards, documenting configurations, and collaborating with developers, DevOps engineers, system administrators, and clients.
