The EMT provides pre-hospital basic life support care and transports sick or injured patients in accordance with established standards, ensuring safe handling and documentation of patient care.

Provide advanced pre-hospital and in-flight nursing care, perform patient assessment and life support within scope of licensure, document care, manage aircraft medical equipment, participate in safety and quality activities, complete required certifications, and assist with station duties and occasional ground ambulance assignments.

Provide advanced prehospital and interfacility critical care during air transport, including patient assessment, basic to advanced life support, safe patient transfer/handling, documentation (ePCR), equipment checks, safety reporting, participation in drills/education, and attainment of required flight nursing certifications.
