Lead experimental research to reach the quantum regime of optomechanics with exciton-polaritons using GaAs/AlAs microcavities. Supervise PhD and master students, collaborate with theorists and industry partners, automate data acquisition and analysis, and prepare manuscripts and funding applications. Participate in research management and national/international collaborations and initiatives.

Lead research and teaching in ship hydrodynamics, integrating experiments, full-scale data, high-fidelity and reduced-order models. Build a research team, secure funding, develop the Aalto Ice and Wave Tank facility, teach hydrostatics and hydrodynamics, supervise students, and collaborate with industry and international partners to advance sustainable ship design and operations.

Conduct interdisciplinary PhD research on urban street space distribution and governance within the CO-SPACES project; use mixed methods to assess societal and equity impacts, engage stakeholders to reimagine governance, publish in journals, present at conferences, participate in group activities, assist proposal preparation and supervise masters students, and complete doctoral coursework and thesis requirements.
