Tenure-track Assistant Professor to lead research and teaching in Industrial Digital Twins within Mechatronics. Responsibilities: build a research team, raise funding, lead Aalto Industrial Internet Campus activities, supervise BSc/MSc/PhD students, teach mechatronics courses, and collaborate with industry and cross-disciplinary partners to translate research into practical mechanical engineering solutions throughout product life-cycles.

Conduct theoretical and experimental nanoscale control of optical fields: design, fabricate, and test nanofabricated optical components using FEM/FDTD and inverse/ML methods, work with cleanroom facilities and optics lab equipment, publish papers, write proposals, collaborate internationally, and participate in teaching while completing a four-year doctoral degree.

Lead experimental research to reach the quantum regime of optomechanics with exciton-polaritons using GaAs/AlAs microcavities. Supervise PhD and master students, collaborate with theorists and industry partners, automate data acquisition and analysis, and prepare manuscripts and funding applications. Participate in research management and national/international collaborations and initiatives.
