Develop microcontroller and FPGA firmware, build test benches, conduct hardware-in-the-loop testing, debug in laboratory environments, and support system integration. Use high-reliability and space-grade techniques, automated FPGA workflows, CI/CD, timing closure, regression testing, documentation, design reviews, and risk identification.

Designs, verifies, documents, and debugs complex FPGA-based digital systems using SoCs, embedded processing, high-speed interfaces, and custom IP. Translates system requirements into FPGA specifications, develops synthesizable SystemVerilog and verification IP, creates test strategies, integrates Xilinx AXI-based designs, and supports defect resolution. The role also drives design-quality practices and continuous improvement across long-term projects.

Designs and brings up high-speed digital circuit boards featuring DDR, FPGAs, and networking interfaces. Performs schematic capture, EMC mitigation and testing, signal integrity simulation, laboratory testing, board debugging, root-cause analysis, and verification reporting. Uses FPGA design tools and technologies including Verilog, VHDL, SystemVerilog, Vitis, Vivado, Quartus, Xilinx devices, and Altera devices. Supports test case development and execution while applying verification methodologies relevant to the space industry.

Lead the architecture, development, testing, debugging, and delivery of embedded firmware across multiple client projects. Define software architectures, drivers, middleware, RTOS configurations, and hardware interfaces; lead code and design reviews; mentor engineers; coordinate with clients and cross-functional teams; oversee testing and hardware bring-up; resolve complex integration issues; and support technical estimation, proposals, and production support.

Lead embedded software engineer developing and maintaining firmware for high-bandwidth Ethernet network switches. Responsibilities involve embedded Linux, Layers 2–4 networking protocols, precision timing synchronization with PTP, SNMP MIBs, DHCP port reservations, in-band port management, and diagnostic, system-monitoring, and built-in test utilities.
