Provide school-based psychological assessment, diagnosis, counseling, IEP and 504 participation, progress monitoring, and MTSS collaboration. Conduct evaluations, write reports, recommend interventions, attend IEP meetings, coach teachers, and support district compliance with special education timelines and procedures.

Lead Special Education Specialist oversees special education programs and staff, ensures IEP compliance and timelines, provides direct instruction 50% of the time, leads trainings, participates in IEP and assessment teams, and maintains legal and programmatic knowledge to support students with disabilities.
