Manage financial control, month-end close, management reporting, reconciliations, budgeting, forecasting, cash-flow forecasting, billing, VAT returns, audit support, and commercial finance analysis. The role partners with department heads, improves processes and controls, and implements technology-driven automation. It also supervises one direct report and supports business performance and decision-making.

Design and implement scalable, distributed banking backend systems in a remote-first environment. Build JVM-based microservices, RESTful APIs, and event-driven solutions using Java, Spring Boot, Kafka, Kubernetes, and AWS. Develop unit, integration, and functional tests; support CI/CD and production operations; and ensure reliability, performance, and maintainability. Collaborate in an Agile Scrum team, assess technical trade-offs, drive operational excellence, and mentor junior developers.

Manage UK and Australian People Operations, including employee lifecycle processes, payroll delivery, third-party payroll and EOR relationships, benefits, pensions, audits, policies, compliance, and HR case management. Lead and coach the People Operations team, improve processes through automation, maintain governance and controls, resolve complex payroll issues, and support organizational growth through effective stakeholder communication and scalable people practices.
