Designs scientific benchmarks and evaluations for advanced AI models, focusing on virology, microbiology, biological misuse risks, and biosecurity. Responsibilities include red-teaming models, assessing AI-generated scientific outputs, developing evaluation rubrics, analyzing results, and collaborating with AI researchers and engineers. The role requires deep biological research expertise, technical writing, and the ability to evaluate AI capabilities and risks. This is a remote U.S. contract role with occasional travel and in-person onboarding.

Conduct adversarial testing of AI models, agents, and applications; develop prompts, attack strategies, and test cases; analyze vulnerabilities and failure modes; document actionable findings; support evaluation frameworks and taxonomies; research emerging AI threats; collaborate with technical experts; and develop front-end dashboards and visualizations.

Engineering Fellows apply technical skills to applied research and engineering projects involving AI safety, threat intelligence, data processing, visualization, cloud infrastructure, machine learning, and software development. Fellows may specialize in software engineering, data engineering, or machine learning, contributing to experimentation, red teaming, model deployment, data architecture, backend systems, and agentic AI applications.
