10,000 Degrees

10,000 Degrees is a San Rafael–based nonprofit that advances educational equity by supporting low-income and first-generation high school and college students to, through, and beyond college. The organization provides scholarships, near‑peer Fellows/mentoring, financial-aid and college advising, and community-college transfer support. Since 1981 it has served tens of thousands of students, reaching more than 16,000 students and alumni across Bay Area counties and Utah.
