At Marketplace Risk, he leads a global platform dedicated to educating, networking and empowering start-ups and established companies to build and scale successful digital businesses. An attorney with more than 20 years of experience representing marketplaces and digital platforms, Gottschalk is a recognized expert in trust and safety, risk management and legal strategy. He is a highly sought-after consultant and advisor. Prior to founding Marketplace Risk, Gottschalk served as general counsel for Sittercity, the largest childcare platform. He holds a JD from Loyola University Chicago School of Law and an MBA from Northwestern University’s Kellogg School of Management. He is the founding executive director of the Marketplace Industry Association.
