For Stephanie Greene, one of the most memorable moments of Tapestry’s internship program is the first day.
“My favorite part of welcoming new interns is seeing their excitement and curiosity as they start the program with us,” Greene, a talent acquisition associate at Tapestry, said. “It’s rewarding to help them feel comfortable and confident at the onset of the program.”
What does Tapestry Inc. do?
Tapestry is a house of brands including Coach and Kate Spade, focused on modern luxury and lifestyle products.
Greene is the internship program manager for North America, meaning she helps oversee the entire intern lifecycle, from recruitment and onboarding to program design and strategic alignment.
For her, the magic of day-one connections are where the program’s energy ignites. She shared a memory about two interns who met before orientation and were excited to learn that they would be sitting by each other for the rest of the program.
“Seeing that instant connection turn into a genuine friendship was such a great reminder of how these experiences create lasting bonds and make the program even more meaningful,” Greene said.

What to Expect as a Tapestry Intern
If you had to describe our internship program in three words, what would they be and why?
This is a question we ask our interns at the end of the program and their responses speak volumes about the experience. The three words they used most this past summer were “impactful, educational and transformative.”
Our internship program is designed to be a well-rounded experience that goes beyond day-to-day tasks. Interns are given meaningful opportunities to learn from industry experts, contribute to real projects and develop both technical and professional skills. We aim to create an environment where they feel supported, challenged and inspired — ultimately preparing them for the next step in their careers.

What kinds of projects do interns get to work on? How do they make a real impact?
Our interns work on projects that align directly with business priorities, giving them the opportunity to make a real impact from day one. Interns don’t just observe — they actively collaborate with teams, share ideas and see their contributions put into action. By tackling meaningful assignments, they help drive efficiency and improve workflows. For example, they might conduct competitive analyses or develop strategies to better engage Gen Z consumers — projects that culminate in presentations to their teams and senior leadership.

How Interns Experience Professional Growth at Tapestry
How do you help interns grow professionally during their time here? Any cool workshops, mentorships, or surprise perks?
Throughout the program, interns participate in educational sessions led by Tapestry leaders, offering valuable insights into different areas of the business and direct exposure to senior leadership. These sessions are designed to deepen their understanding of the industry while fostering meaningful connections. This past summer, interns enjoyed a unique opportunity to tour our Coach (Re)Loved Workshop in North Bergen, New Jersey — an experience that showcased our commitment to sustainability and innovation.
In addition, interns benefit from a structured feedback process, receiving evaluations at both the midpoint and conclusion of the program. Feedback is provided by their direct mentor, who offers daily guidance and support alongside formal evaluations. This approach helps interns understand the importance and impact of constructive feedback. At Tapestry, we believe feedback is essential for growth and we make it a cornerstone of the internship experience.
As for perks, interns enjoy a weekly meal stipend, access to sample sales and exclusive employee discounts!
Can you share a story about an intern who really stood out or went on to do something amazing?
Two years ago, our creative studio interns developed a multimedia Zine to showcase our summer program. They took full ownership of the project — from content ideation and creation to designing the layouts. The final product was incredibly impressive and I still revisit it often! It truly highlighted their initiative, creativity and design expertise.
Our internship program is designed to empower interns to explore the career paths that excite them and pursue those opportunities with confidence — and that’s exactly what these creative studio interns did! From day one, we encourage interns to schedule coffee chats with team members, cross-functional partners and colleagues in areas they’re curious about, helping them build connections and gain valuable insights.
