From Sept. 26-29, a fabulous lineup of speakers will share their vision for the future of web and mobile design, UX, digital media and technology at the first-ever WebVisions Chicago conference. WebVisions isn't a new kid on the block - the show started in Portland, Oregon back in 2001 and took the show on the road to New York, Barcelona, Atlanta and now, Chicago.
Why Chicago? Aside from being an awesome city and a pretty great place to enjoy autumn weather, the city has a great UX, design, mobile and tech community, the impressive 1871 startup/training/co-working space, leading digital/interactive companies, great professional associations like (here come the acronyms) AIGA, IxDA, STC, STA, Girls in Tech and W3C, and fabulous places for parties and networking events.
The Chicago show features a "stacked schedule" (overheard from Code Academy's Shay Howe) of speakers -- Maria Giudice of Hot Studio (pictured at left), Mark Trammell of Twitter, Jared Spool, comedienne and presentation coach Heather Gold, Nathan Shedroff (author of Make it So and Design is the Problem), Thomas Wester of Second Story Interactive Studios, Russ Unger (author of A Project Guide to UX) and Tim Frick of Mightybytes, Kelly Goto and Steve Portigal, Derek Featherstone, Carolyn Chandler and Jason Ulaszek of Manifest Digital and many more.
