
ESO Solutions reaches $21.5M in investment capital
Patient-care software developer ESO Solutions raised a $17.6 million series C round of financing from convertible notes and California-based investment firm Accell-KKR, LLC. Favor announces expanded delivery zone
On-demand delivery app, Favor, has announced it will expand its delivery services in Austin, Dallas and Fort Worth, while opening a new delivery zone in the Woodlands due to popular request. SXSW announces 2017 speaker lineup
Next year’s SXSW speakers will include Keynotes Professor Jennifer Doudna (co-inventor of new technology for editing genes) for interactive and Director Jill Soloway (creator of Golden Globes and Emmy-winning Transparent) for film. The featured speakers list includes Mary Lou Jepsen, Dan Lyons, Earvin “Magic” Johnson, Candice Morgan, Adam Savage, Nadya Tolokonnikova, Ingrid Vanderveldt, Gary Vaynerchuk, and Amber Venz Box. Austin ranks 7 out of top 10 cities for career opportunities
Using seven metrics to rank American cities for best career opportunities, Austin came in at seven (Provo, UT, ranked first) per a study conducted by SmartAsset. Metrics included unemployment rate, median income, median annual housing costs and rate of employment growth.
