SeedCon Fast-Pitch Entry: WellNav

Today, I am planning to choose a new doctor and figure out what movie to rent: a complex decision and a simple one.

As I make one of these decisions, I have at my command an impressive analysis machine, capturing and operating on every data point it can: my age, my gender, my occupation, my stated preferences, implied preferences, past behavior, friends, a tumult of additional bytes and cues, and it gives me an answer: insightful and personalized.

For the other, I troll through some web sites, read a few uninformative reviews, and ultimately make a decision based on what is most convenient.

And of course, the depressing thing is that no one will be surprised that the former decision-making process describes choosing a movie that I will enjoy for a couple of hours and then return, while the latter describes choosing a physician whose characteristics will have a significant impact on my health for decades to come. This situation, which should be painfully unintuitive, is simply an accepted fact.

WellNav matches patients with the doctors who will help them optimize their health outcomes and their satisfaction using an algorithm based on a personalized combination of objective and subjective data. In addition, expert consultants at WellNav engage with physicians to improve the measures needed to attract the patients they want.
