France is home to some of the world’s most well-known companies, including Dior and aerospace giant Airbus. Fashion, tech, manufacturing and energy are just a few of the industries contributing to France’s strong GDP. We’ve highlighted some of the multinational companies that keep France’s economy humming.

With a Paris office in Faubourg-Montmartre, Datadog offers solutions for cloud monitoring, serverless computing and infrastructure monitoring. It aims to protect its clients against cybersecurity threats by supervising their full IT architecture. The company has partnered with household names like Sony and Samsung. 

 

Magna is an automotive manufacturer that builds technologies, systems and concepts to make vehicles safer and cleaner. The company employs more than 55,000 people and operates 103 manufacturing facilities throughout the E.U. Magna has a presence in the Île de France and Bourgogne Franche-Comté.

 

A multinational bank and financial services holding company, BNP Paribas is also one of the largest banks in the European Union. The company uses several digital technologies like artificial intelligence and cloud computing to speed up its banking processes. The corporation has locations in over 60 countries and is headquartered in Paris. 

 

Schneider Electric, specializes in energy management and automation solutions. The company aims to help businesses update aging facilities, optimize energy consumption and digitally transform their operations for efficiency. Schneider Electric is headquartered in Rueil-Malmaison, France but has many offices around the world, including in the U.S.  

 

The popular international fashion house Dior manufactures luxury handbags, perfume and cosmetics. The company demonstrates its commitment to environmental sustainability by using recycled materials and phasing out virgin plastics in its packaging. It was founded in 1947 by Christian Dior and is headquartered in Paris.

 

Navan aims to make travel and expenses simpler, so that users can focus on their experience, not how they get there. Its single app offers savings, control and real-time visibility. The platform’s users include travel managers and finance teams. The company has an office in the Ternes area of Paris. 

 

Airbus is a multinational European corporation that manufactures and transports various aerospace products, including commercial aircraft and helicopters. The company is one of the largest aerospace companies operating in Europe. Airbus, which has a presence in France, sells its aircraft to many major commercial airlines like American Airlines, Korean Air, JetBlue and others. 

 

Inato is a healthtech platform that helps connect community-based medical research centers to global trials. The platform features tools for optimizing clinical trials, such as patient recruitment, site selection and performance tracking. Inato operates a Paris office and hires remote talent across the world.

 

Dassault Systèmes is a multinational software company that develops reliable 3D simulations, or “digital twins,” for aerospace and defense, industrial equipment, life sciences, transportation and construction purposes. The company, founded in 1981 with only 20 engineers, has since grown to more than 23,000 employees that work across its broad portfolio of brands. Dassault Systèmes is headquartered in Vélizy-Villacoublay but also has several locations in the United States, including Boston, Charlotte and Cincinnati. 

 

CSC has offices in the Ternes and 8th arrondissement areas of Paris. It provides businesses with services that include business administration, capital markets transactions and administrative alternative asset management. It aims to use cutting-edge technology to make its cybersecurity, cloud computing and data analytics services more efficient.

 

Snap is a technology company that has developed apps and services like Snapchat, Spectacles and Bitmoji. The company is headquartered in Santa Monica, California, and has 17 office locations, including Paris, where employees work 80 percent of the time. Unique perks include 16 weeks of paid parental leave, mental health sessions for employees and dependents, and a mobile phone stipend.
