SeedCon Fast-Pitch Entry: Chihuahua - Resource Management Software for the "Small Dogs"

Thousands of small businesses are still using spreadsheets and (gasp!) paper to track their inventory!  This is, in part, because they cannot afford most Enterprise Resource Management systems such as SAP Business One, Sage Software, and Point of Rental Systems which can cost anywhere from $8,000 - $40,000 to implement.

Chihuahua will provide customizable, cloud-based, inventory and reporting software that allows small business owners (the “small dogs”) to manage their staffing and supply chain on their desktops, laptops, tablets and smartphones.  It is being built on a platform that can be customized with unique processes, products, fields and views from the front end without the up front costs of the systems currently on the market.

We are unique because we will keep our implementation fees to less than $1,000 and then charge a monthly usage fee based on number of licenses so that our product is affordable with a small business budget.

Our pilot client is a bike and boat rental shop that (you guessed it) tracks their equipment on paper.  On busy days, they estimate when bikes and kayaks will be returned based on the notes on the paper at the bottom of the pile!  They desperately want to implement a more systematic process; but they can't afford the huge up front costs.  We are here to help.. and of course, rent some bikes before it gets too cold.

Small dogs (and small, local businesses) rock!  And because we love small dogs so much, we hope to support animal shelters with some of our profits.
