Cybersecurity company Rubrik has announced it’s entered into a definitive agreement to acquire Predibase, developer platform that helps deploy and manage open-source AI models in real-world applications. The acquisition aims to accelerate the adoption of agentic AI from pilot stages to production. By combining Predibase’s technology with Rubrik’s secure and governed data lake, the companies expect to deliver improved accuracy, lower costs and better performance in AI applications.
“What the Predibase team has achieved with model training and serving infrastructure in the last few years is nothing short of remarkable,” Bipul Sinha, CEO, chairman and co-founder of Rubrik, said in a statement. “Together, Rubrik and Predibase will drive agentic AI adoption around the world and unlock immediate value for our customers.”
Predibase offers a platform that aims to fine-tune open source AI models into highly accurate, production-ready solutions. Its technology includes a proprietary post-training stack and an optimized inference engine. The acquisition is expected to enhance Rubrik’s capabilities in securing and deploying generative AI, particularly when integrated with major cloud services like Amazon Bedrock, Azure OpenAI and Google Agentspace.
The terms of the deal were not disclosed.
