Replit, an AI-powered software creation platform, announced it has secured $250 million in new funding, bringing its valuation to $3 billion. The round was led by Prysm Capital, with additional participation from Amex Ventures and Google’s AI Futures Fund. The company also introduced its new AI agent, Agent 3, designed for increased autonomy.
Replit’s platform leverages AI to allow users to build applications using natural language. The company’s user community has grown to more than 40 million, and its annualized revenue increased from $2.8 million to $150 million in under a year.
The new capital will help Replit scale its operations, accelerate product development and expand its global presence. The company aims to build out new features and increase its market initiatives to become the standard platform for enterprises in the AI software development sector.
