Former Twitter CEO’s Startup Raises $30M, Develops AI Web Search Infrastructure

Backed by $30 million in funding, former Twitter CEO Parag Agrawal’s startup, Parallel Web Systems, is launching tools to enable deep research for AI agents, according to reporting by Bloomberg

Parallel Web Systems’ investors include Khosla Ventures, First Round Capital, Index Ventures, Terrain and several angels, a company blog post shows. Its founding team brings experience from enterprises like Google, Airbnb and Waymo.

Through its set of APIs, Parallel Web Systems aims to give developers access to search tools designed to quickly deliver accurate web context to support their AI agents. The company describes its technology as able “to outperform both humans and leading AI models like GPT-5 on the most rigorous benchmarks for deep web research.”
