Natilus, an aerospace company based in the U.S., announced its expansion with the launch of Natilus India, its new subsidiary headquartered in Mumbai. The company is developing blended-wing-body, or BWB, aircraft designed for more sustainable and efficient transportation.

Its offerings include its flagship passenger plane, HORIZON, which can transport up to 240 passengers, and its cargo plane, KONA. Natilus India will focus on expanding the Natilus family of aircraft under the leadership of Ravi Bhatia. The business will also explore options for sourcing Indian-made manufactured components as Natilus aims to begin delivering HORIZON in the 2030s.

Alongside the launch of its Indian subsidiary, Natilus announced its first commercial partnership with passenger airline company SpiceJet. The company plans to purchase 100 HORIZON aircraft once the plane is certified in India.
