Modulus Housing, a property technology company headquartered in Chennai, recently pulled in the equivalent of $7.83 million in a Series A funding round, according to reporting by Entrackr. The company’s construction model enables the streamlined production of structures for low-rise infrastructure.

Modulus’s model leverages a cloud-based network of partner factories alongside a proprietary product suite. Its solutions have been used to complete over 1,500 buildings, such as cold storage units, site offices and schools, across India and parts of Africa, the article mentioned.

The Series A funding will help Modulus fuel market expansion across India and globally, R&D, development of a concrete modular system and scaling of its cloud manufacturing network, according to Entrackr. The company will also build out its green concrete tech for use in distributed infrastructure.
