Our inaugural craft beer fixups have come to a close and I wanted to share some of the good stuff we’ve learned with our Built in Chicago friends. We're very committed to getting customer feedback (even when it's painful) and sent out surveys to everyone who was fixed up on a date. Hearing back from our first customers was both interesting and a bit nervewrecking.
Still, the dates overall seemed to have went well! Check out this blog post from one of our members – it definitely made us feel quite :-D. Some other feedback we heard:
“It was fast and efficient. I loved the quick confirmation. The website was very easy to navigate” - F, 26
“Life is too busy for the time consuming and often unsuccessful online courting process on most websites. This eliminates that problem!” - M, 34
“Seemed like a good match. Showed up on time. Good conversation. Had a fun time.” - M, 32
“This was probably the best date I’ve ever been on! Good job!” - F, 37
It wasn’t all sunshine and candy however - we definitely got some constructive feedback as well. A few folks had technical difficulties updating their schedule. One bar did not have as good beer section as advertised. A few people felt like they didn’t had much in common with their dates. And ~10 people were not successfully fixed up, mostly due to gender and age factors - they are rolling their fixup credit into the next theme that interests them.
All and all though, we’re very excited with the response. 60% of attendees said that they would absolutely or probably try Project Fixup again, and ~35% are at interested in going on a 2nd date with this fixup. We think this is a great start and are hard at work making improvements based on people’s feedback to make the experience even better.
The next fixups are going to be over tapas and sangria – feel free to sign up now and spread the word to fellow lovers of sangria and bacon wrapped dates.
As always, please reach out if you have any questions, feedback, or just want to grab coffee by emailing me at [email protected]. I've seriously met some amazing people through the Built in Chicago community (shout-out to Jack Lape, Melissa Karlin, Zoe Blackwell, and others!) that have provided incredible support and guidance since we started on our startup journey and would love to keep it up. Cheers!
