As a long-time financial powerhouse, Singapore is largely considered to be Asia’s answer to Silicon Valley. The city-state is known for its strategic location, robust tech talent pool and pro-business environment, making it an ideal location for IT enterprises of all kinds. From international tech giants to home-grown innovators, these companies are putting Singapore on the map as a key player in the global IT landscape.

Top IT Companies in Singapore

IT consultancy firm Accenture specializes in a range of technology services, including cybersecurity, cloud computing and artificial intelligence. With a global team of more than 730,000 people, the Dublin-based company has about 4,000 employees in Singapore, serving more than 250 organizations across Southeast Asia. Accenture’s Singapore Innovation Hub functions as its flagship headquarters for Southeast Asia, where it researches areas like smart cities, mobility and sustainability. It also has an AI Innovation Studio and a public service-focused Innovation Center to help fight cyber crime. 

 

Grab is one of the biggest tech companies in Southeast Asia, employing more than 3,500 people at its headquarters in Singapore. It started out as a taxi-hailing app in 2012, and has since expanded into food, grocery and package delivery and financial services — becoming one of the leading superapps in the region, with more than 32 million monthly users. Grab is a major driver of innovation in Southeast Asia, and has pioneered new technologies and business models that are transforming the way people live and work here.

 

Salesforce makes cloud-based software and applications that streamline sales, customer service, e-commerce and marketing operations with automation, AI and analytics. Boasting more than $31 billion in revenue, it is one of the largest software companies in the world. Salesforce is headquartered in California, but its Asia Pacific headquarters is in Singapore, which houses large customer success, sales, technology and product teams.

 

Tech conglomerate Sea functions as a holding company for several successful tech products in Southeast Asia. Its Shopee app is one of the most popular e-commerce platforms in the region, and its SeaMoney app provides users with mobile wallet services, payment processing and other personal finance services. Garena, its digital entertainment arm, is an award-winning video game developer, publisher and event organizer, hosting some of the most influential eSports events in Southeast Asia. Sea has about 10,000 corporate employees globally, many of whom work at its headquarters in Singapore.

 

Combining IT consulting and outsourcing services, Cognizant helps businesses working across the pharmaceutical, financial  and technology industries transform their digital infrastructure. Its services include AI, IoT, cybersecurity and software engineering. 

 

Mondelēz International is a global retailer of snack foods that include iconic and popular brands like Toblerone, Clif Bar, Nutter Butter and Milka. It uses artificial intelligence in its development, research and manufacturing processes. The company seeks experienced and talented analysts to help it glean insights into product development and cost evaluation. 

 

In 2021, Amazon opened a 100,000 square-foot office in Singapore’s Asia Square plaza. The office supports Amazon’s Singapore operations, including Amazon Fresh, advertising, seller enablement, Prime Video and Amazon.sg e-commerce operations. The company employs more than 2,000 people in Singapore.

 

Skillsoft, an edtech company, specializes in helping companies upskill workers to prepare them for the future. Its products cover a variety of skills, from leadership to compliance, and are available in formats such as audiobooks, videos, bootcamps and live events. It is based in Nashua, New Hampshire, and has an office in Singapore.

 

BlackLine makes AI-powered finance and accounting software that helps companies with a variety of financial tasks, including amortization, accruals, calculations and rollforwards. Tech, media, communications and manufacturing are among the industries it serves. BlackLine opened a regional office and data center in Sydney in 2023.

 

Snyk, a security platform, helps ensure security through the development lifecycle of a product, from coding to fixes. The platform scans for vulnerabilities as developers are coding. In October of 2024, it added AI to its products to boost application security.

 

Qualtrics makes an XM platform for employee and customer experiences as well as strategy and research for industries ranging from healthcare and government to financial services. It is based in Provo, Utah, and opened in Singapore in 2017. 

 

CrowdStrike, the cybersecurity company, opened a new Singapore office in late 2023. The office, twice the size of the one it replaced, is a hub for the company in Asia. It includes training facilities for employees and customers as well as offices.

 

Braze enables companies to connect and access multiple customer engagement touchpoints, from emails and the web to social media, on one platform. Braze opened an office in Singapore in 2018. The company is based in New York City.

 

Market maker Citadel Securities is a Miami, Florida-based financial company that executes trades and provides liquidity for institutional and retail clients. It is the creator of MEMX, an all-electronic equities exchange. Citadel Securities opened its Singapore office in 2020 and employs 35 people there.

 

Comcast Advertising says it is a global leader in advertising, media and technology. Its brands include Freewheel, which offers ad management solutions; AudienceXpress, which uses data insights to deliver multi-screen advertising; and Effectv, its ad sales division.

 

MarketAxess, a financial services company, operates an electronic trading platform for fixed income securities. The company aims to improve global markets and innovate to benefit everyone, including investors, dealers and customers. It operates in 24 currency markets, seven of which are Asian. It has had a presence in Singapore since 2010.

 

ServiceNow operates a cloud-based platform that helps companies and individuals improve work flow. It also offers custom app development, security operations, and customer service management tools. Its partner in Singapore is Sgital Pte Ltd.

 

Doodle Labs, a radio communications company, makes private wireless networks for advanced robotics, including drones and ground robots. It also makes several varieties of long-range, high-bandwidth radios. It was founded in 2008 and has offices in Singapore and the United States.

 

 The Singapore office of Meta, parent company for Facebook and Instagram, includes the company’s first custom-built data center. The office serves Meta’s markets in the Asia Pacific market and employs data scientists, software engineers and product designers, among other positions.

 

Wise makes a platform that enables users to send and receive money from points around the globe. Its users include individuals as well as businesses, which can use the platform for international payments. Wise says it handles 40 different currencies in 160 markets. It has offices in Singapore and the United States.
