Dating app Hinge announced its expansion into the Mexican market, bringing a digital space to foster authentic connections to its first country in Latin America. This expansion builds upon the app’s continual popularity in regions like the U.S., U.K. and Australia, and the launch coincides with rising demand in the Mexico region.

Hinge aims to facilitate intentional interactions that lead to in-person dates. Its app grants users multiple options for expressing their self-identity, dating intentions and more. Features like voice and video prompts and prompt polls on users’ profiles allow daters to initiate conversations based on open-ended questions or statements. The app also comes with other features that nudge users to respond to chats and specify whether they would like to meet past dates in person again.

“At Hinge, our focus has always been about creating an experience that helps people date with more intention. With our launch in Mexico, we’re excited to support a community of daters who are looking for something real and meaningful,” Justin McLeod, Hinge founder and CEO, said in a company blog post. “We believe relationships deserve that level of care and our hope is that Hinge can make it easier to find those genuine connections.”
