Artificial intelligence healthcare company Forta has raised $55 million in a Series A funding round led by Insight Partners. Forta aims to improve access to therapy for individuals with autism spectrum disorder, or ASD, by combining AI technology with parent-led applied behavior analysis therapy.

The funding will help expand Forta’s autism therapy practice, enabling the company to further develop its suite of clinical algorithms. Forta has already supported hundreds of children with ASD and their families, with 76 percent of individuals in therapy seeing an improvement in therapy goal achievement using Forta’s tech-enabled clinical model, according to a recent study.

Forta has contracted with seven of the 10 largest major health insurance companies and more than two dozen state government programs to bring its technology to clients. In addition to expanding its autism therapy practice, Forta will continue its research on AI and large language models to find breakthrough pathways that enhance care outcomes and accessibility.
