Telecommunications infrastructure provider ExteNet Systems announced Tuesday that it will move its headquarters to Frisco by the beginning of next year.

Currently headquartered just west of Chicago in Lisle, Illinois, ExteNet’s new 37,000-square-foot headquarters will be located within Frisco Station, a 242-acre, mixed-use development just north of The Star. About 150 employees will work out of the new headquarters, according to a company statement.

ExteNet said the move brings it closer to major clients and industry partners while also positioning employees closer to the company’s largest percentage of owned and managed networks.

“We want to bring back the feeling of community and foster a greater sense of belonging for our team,” ExteNet CEO Richard Coyle said in a statement. “This is an opportunity to reimagine our future, a shift towards a more communicative and transparent culture that strives to succeed together. The city of Frisco offers employees a terrific work-life balance and places us closer to many of our closest partners and clients.”

The company will continue to operate five satellite offices in Las Vegas; Burbank and San Ramon, California; Lisle, Illinois; and Paramus, New Jersey.

ExteNet provides private wireless network services for The Star District and the Ford Center, which will host the Academy of Country Music Awards next year. ExteNet also announced that it will provide high-performance private wireless network solutions to San Antonio Spurs fans at the AT&T Center, as well as at the Circuit of The Americas racetrack in Austin.

“On behalf of the Frisco City Council, I’m thrilled to welcome ExteNet Systems to our city and to Frisco Station,” Frisco Mayor Jeff Cheney said in a statement. “As a leader in secure 5G and fiber infrastructure solutions, ExteNet is a great addition to Frisco’s booming tech and innovation economy. And, our residents will benefit from this growth with the creation of 110 new jobs in Frisco.”
