E-commerce giant eBay has announced plans to acquire Tise, a Norway-based social marketplace focused on consumer-to-consumer secondhand sales, in a move aimed at strengthening eBay’s presence in the growing C2C market.

Tise is known for its strong Gen Z and millennial user base, audiences that are driving demand across key resale categories. According to eBay, Tise’s platform also offers a range of community-focused features, such as personalized product recommendations and built-in chat for buyer-seller communication.

Regarding the acquisition, eBay’s Oliver Klinck said in a statement, “With Tise’s on-trend inventory, loyal community and social-first approach, we’ll strengthen eBay’s C2C offerings, and more deeply connect with the next generation of enthusiasts.”

The acquisition follows eBay’s initial investment in Tise in 2022 and is expected to be finalized by the end of 2025.
