CodePath.org, a nonprofit organization dedicated to training collegiate software engineering students, is entering a new partnership with Anthropic, coinciding with the AI research company’s launch of its Claude Corps fellowship program. CodePath will serve as the fellows’ official employer of record and lead programming during the fellowship.

The fellowship program is for early-career-stage individuals focused on building AI skills. The year-long program entails 1,000 fellows will undergoing intensive training in using Anthropic’s AI model, Claude, and then spend the remainder of the 12 months working full time at host organizations. More than 400 nonprofits have signed on to host Claude Corps fellows.

Claude Corps’ goal is to equip organizations with valuable tools and systems and help fellows build career skills. The program correlates with CodePath’s mission of creating opportunities for first-generation and low-income students and driving economic success. Alongside CodePath, Social Finance is another key partner to Anthropic, as the nonprofit will lead measurement and evaluation for Claude Corps.
