Miro gained $400M. The Series C financing round brings Miro’s total funding to $476 million and valuation to $17.5 billion. The visual collaborative platform allows workers to solve complex problems, design products and bring them to life. The funding will allow the company to invest in product and program development while also expanding its global footprint. While co-headquartered in San Francisco and Amsterdam, the company's largest U.S. hub is its Austin office. The company is hiring for dozens of Austin-based tech positions. [Built In Austin]
Torc Robotics announced a new office in Austin. The self-driving truck technology startup will open an engineering office in Austin later this year. Founded in 2005, this will be Torc’s third location. The 21,000-square-foot facility will house existing employees and new hires, as the company plans to double its employee headcount this year. Atmosphere got $100M. Atmosphere provides a streaming video platform for public businesses, with streaming channels that provide different types of content including viral video compilations. The adtech company gained $80 million in Series C financing and $20 million in debt financing. Funding will be used to scale marketing and company operations and hire up to 90 people. Cion Digital raised $12M. Cion Digital developed a SaaS blockchain orchestration platform that allows institutions to build innovative finance solutions and connect legacy systems to digital asset systems. The funding was led by Green Visor Capital and 645 Ventures and will accelerate the company’s rollout of crypto financing and payment solutions for its clients and financial institutions. The top Austin tech fundings topped a combined $2B+ in 2021. Silicon Hills had a busy 2021 with several notable funding raises from The Zebra, Canva and Arrive Logistics, to name a few. Last year, 10 Austin tech companies brought in a combined $2.6 billion — a significant increase from the $767 million raised in 2020. [Built In Austin]
