Anaconda, an Austin-based AI software company, has raised more than $150 million in a Series C funding round led by Insight Partners, with participation from Mubadala Capital. The funding will help scale the newly launched Anaconda AI Platform, which offers software packages, development environments, AI tools and more.
According to a news release, the announcement also comes on the tail of Anaconda’s new partnership with Databricks.
Since its founding, Anaconda has seen over 21 billion downloads and currently serves more than 50 million users, including several Fortune 500 companies, which rely on its platform to build and manage AI systems.
The new investment reflects a broader shift in the industry, as enterprises move from isolated data science projects to creating more integrated, compound AI applications. Anaconda aims to support enterprise-grade development with Python.
