Navigating the job market straight out of college can be daunting. Employers are often looking for experienced applicants to fill their job openings but to gain the right mix of skills and hands-on training to make them an enticing hire, early career professionals need an employer to take a chance on them. These companies are hiring new grads through initiatives that engage them in mentorship, networking, job rotations and other career development opportunities.

Snap integrates photography with communication services and social media through its popular Snapchat app. Users can share videos, images and messages that disappear after a short time, creating a dynamic and engaging way to connect. The app also includes My AI, a chatbot powered by OpenAI’s ChatGPT, enhancing user interaction with features like trivia, travel suggestions and gift ideas. The company has a robust internship program and regularly hires new grads.

 

The HEICO Companies is a holding corporation that operates companies across the aerospace, manufacturing, construction and industrial sectors. Its long list of companies include Davis Wire, which makes steel wire products, Titan Formwork Systems, which makes shoring equipment for construction and Ancra Aircraft, an aerospace cargo systems company. Heico has a thriving internship program and regularly recruits recent grads to join its ranks. 

 

Vertafore is a software company that makes products for the insurance sector. Its digital tools are built for insurance brokers, carriers, agencies and other industry professionals, and work by facilitating and optimizing essential processes like quoting, credentialing and compliance. The company supports new grads through technical training and mentorship programs that connect new hires with seasoned mentors.

 

The Kraft Heinz Company is responsible for producing well-known food and beverage brands like Oscar Mayer, Capri-Sun, Kool-Aid, Ore-Ida and Lunchables. It offers immersive internship opportunities that provide participants with real-world experience, as well as trainee programs that prepare participants for full-time roles with Kraft Heinz in areas such as manufacturing and research and development. The company also has programs that give MBA students a chance to begin transitioning into leadership careers.

 

Mondelez International is a multinational food and beverage company that focuses on snacks like crackers, cookies, candy and powdered drinks. The company’s early-career programs include apprenticeships, graduate programs, internships and traineeships, each of which is designed to nurture recent college graduates’ skills and grow them into full-fledged members of the team.

 

UL Solutions is an internationally-recognized name in safety science that “transforms safety, security, and sustainability challenges into opportunities” for businesses across industries such as construction, oil and gas, healthcare, retail and consumer electronics. The company’s job opportunities include postings for recent graduates as well as internships in career areas like engineering, sales, data and product management.

 

MobilityWare is a California-based gaming company that specializes in bringing players card and puzzle games. Its career opportunities include internships to foster student talent as well as positions that cover a range of experience levels. Because of its benefits offerings, like flexible PTO and tuition reimbursement, and its goal of fostering a supportive culture, MobilityWare has received repeated recognition as a top place to work.

 

Netflix is the entertainment company that made streaming mainstream. Offering movies, television, gaming and educational programming through a subscription model, the company also produces its own content. The Netflix New Grad Program hires recent graduates and places them in technical and business roles across the company while providing robust onboarding, professional development, technical education, mentorship and networking opportunities. 

 

Capital One is a financial services company that offers credit cards, checking and savings accounts, loans and other traditional banking services. Capital One recruits promising new talent straight out of college, setting them up with two-year rotational programs that start them as full-time associates but move them from role to role within the company to allow them to find their niche.

Chevron is an energy company that manufactures and retails refined oil and gas products, including diesel, gasoline, aviation and marine fuel, lubricants and fuel oil additives. The company has two training tracks for recent grads of undergraduate and graduate programs, respectively. Individuals with an undergraduate degree can gain training via Horizons, an early career mentorship program that covers job fields including petroleum engineering, information technology, procurement and supply chain management. 

 

Oracle is a tech company that deals in database software and cloud computing. One of the largest software companies in the world, more than 400,000 customers use Oracle’s products and services, including major enterprises such as Samsung and Marriott. The company’s Class Of program prepares recent grads with business fundamentals training and job-specific skills training in sales, solution engineering or consulting.

 

Epsilon is a marketing tech company that uses data to personalize marketing assets and customer experiences. Part of the company’s commitment to nurturing team members as they grow in their careers is its early career programs, which recruit and develop new talent by offering robust, immersive training. The company runs an internship program and a New Grad Program that onboards new graduates with eight weeks of paid group skills training in preparation for transitioning them into their job duties.
