Job Description

As a member of Blue Fin Group, an IntegriChain company's, consulting team this associate will be responsible for delivering consulting services to our clients. Success in this role is measured upon the ability to grow and support Blue Fin Group’s presence and reputation in the marketplace by delivering consulting services and thought leadership. 

The following represents the scope, attributes and expectations of Blue Fin Group Consultants: 

Firm Building

  • Effectively communicate (internally and externally) BFG’s BHAG and Mission
  • Support strategic initiatives aligned to BFG BHAG and Mission
  • Demonstrate through actions, living BFG’s core values
  • Comply with BFG policies and procedures
  • Utilize current BFG technology solutions and tools
  • Follow BFG project methodology, approach and standardized project deliverable frameworks
  • Through personal SMART goals, assist in achievement of firm and RACI goals

People Management & Development

  • Utilize target profile in identifying potential BFG candidates
  • Submit potential candidates to manager for consideration 
  • Serve as FINgerprint Guide for new Consultant associates 
  • Support peers during the new associate training process
  • Annually, develop quarterly SMART Goals to support achievement of overall firm strategy and firm building initiatives, complete self-assessment and attainment of SMART goals, and review with manager 
  • Build awareness within BFG of one’s experience, skills, competencies, areas of subject matter expertise, areas of interest and focus areas for development
  • Prepare for weekly 1:1 discussions with manager
  • Complete self-assessment of Annual Performance Review and discussion with manager
  • Create Professional Development Plan for discussion with manager and execute

Business Development

  • Identify and communicate to Senior Principals and Partner new project and/or extension of existing project opportunities with existing clients
  • Communicate confidently and effectively with BFG and client project team members and develop relationships with existing clients

Project and Client Management

  • Gain understanding of the vision and goals of the project
  • Demonstrate understanding of project catalyst, client’s business model, current level of achievement of overall business objectives, key project objectives and project hypothesis
  • Assumes ownership and accountability for quality and timeliness of one’s work product
  • Identify and escalate any issues with: Project and BFG associate or client personnel issues to Partner
  • Develop and maintain client relationships
  • Effectively demonstrate one’s critical thinking skills and continue to build subject matter expertise
  • Recognize key trends, opportunities and challenges relevant to project and raising pertinent and probing questions.

Consulting Services Delivery

  • Assist in development of business plan components, such as financial models
  • Achieve minimum utilization rate of 86% based on actual business days per calendar month
  • Familiarize oneself with consultant service offerings
  • Work to develop subject matter expertise in a minimum of one area
  • Build one’s voice within Blue Fin Group, including active participation on team calls and Trimester Meetings.

Industry Thought Leadership

  • Contribute to thought leadership content (e.g. white papers, articles, blogs, social media posts, etc.) in collaboration with other BFG associates
  • Contribute to creation of thought leadership insights and materials by assisting in development of repeatable/reusable processes, methodologies and research activities


Qualifications

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree required; Advanced Degree/licensure preferred 
  • 3+ years healthcare/life sciences industry experience
  • Previous consulting experience required
  • Advanced in Microsoft Office: Word, Excel & PowerPoint
