The ideal candidate should be an intellectually curious problem solver with a track record of handling extensive datasets. They should possess the ability to communicate effectively with both developers and business stakeholders, while also collaborating with engineering resources to devise algorithms for managing data streams.

We are actively expanding our team's capabilities and diversifying our product offerings. This role presents a unique opportunity for significant influence and substantial growth potential as we scale. The right candidate will play a key role in shaping the technical direction of the product.

Responsibilities:

  • Assemble large, complex datasets (trillions of rows) to extract valuable insights.
  • Provide subject matter expertise on identity resolution complexities and propose practical solutions to the engineering team and business.
  • Utilize data integration technologies and pipelines to inform design decisions and generate additional insights for the product team.
  • Optimize and maintain existing reports.
  • Identify process enhancements for internal processes, emphasizing data delivery optimization, scalability, and automation.
  • Understanding of data input/output and user interactions with systems to support functional business requirements.
  • Collaborate with business and technology stakeholders to gather functional and technical requirements, demonstrating a deep understanding of the MarTech/AdTech space.
  • Stay informed about the latest technology trends and innovations, particularly in data integration, master data management, data management platforms, marketing automation, mobile, and social media.

Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, or equivalent (minimum 5 years) work experience.
  • 8+ years of experience in database management systems (data architecture, data modeling).
  • 6+ years of extensive experience with MongoDB, GCP BigQuery, Postgres, or other relational/non-relational databases.
  • Proficiency in data visualization tools such as Metabase/Looker/Tableau or equivalent.
  • 4+ years of Python experience.
  • 6+ years of designing, building, and supporting real-time and batch data pipelines and analytical solutions.
  • Familiarity with ETL tools like Apache Beam and Google Data Flow.
  • 2+ years of experience delivering data solutions on cloud platforms (GCP or Azure).
  • Comfortable working in a dynamic, fully-remote environment.
  • Strong interpersonal, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
  • Exceptional communication and listening skills, capable of breaking down problems for different technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Proven experience in architecting data solutions aligned with best practices and organizational needs.
  • Experience in building data models, dimensional modeling, and implementing best practices for supporting data analytics and reports.
  • 4+ years of full lifecycle implementation experience using various SDLC methodologies.
  • Demonstrated initiative and a desire to learn.
  • Knowledge of Cloud Composer is a plus.
  • Experience in the eCommerce industry is strongly preferred.
