We are Loop

We redefine what an earplug should sound, look and feel like. Whether it’s hearing protection or comfort for your ears, Loop enables you to live life at your volume. Our founders Maarten and Dimitri started Loop back with a big idea. And a chronic ringing in their ears. Since then, we’ve helped more than 3,500,000 customers around the world to find quiet, enjoy great experiences and keep unwanted noise at bay.
In 2023 we grew from almost 100 Loopers to over 250 people. And that’s a number we would have to keep updating every month, as we are planning to double the team once again, this year.

Our headquarters are based in Antwerp, but with hubs in Amsterdam, Shanghai, and New York, we’re dotted all over the globe.

Not to brag about it, but we’ve recently won the EY Scale up of the year award, the Deloitte Fast50 award (for the second year in a row) and a couple of other amazing (international) prices. The New York Times named us ‘best earplugs for concerts’ and thousands of noise-sensitive customers call us a ‘life changer’.

As a Senior User Insights Researcher at Loop Earplugs, your expertise will be the driving force behind our innovative product development. Here, your research doesn't just support product creation; it defines the future of how people interact with their environments through sound. Seeing the bigger picture will enable you to connect the dots between different research findings, guiding strategic decisions and product innovation. As a Senior User Insights Researcher you will innovate by leading targeted research initiatives

Here’s how you’ll make your mark:

- Translate research findings into compelling, easy-to-understand concepts for stakeholders across the company. This will require a balance of technical knowledge and the ability to speak persuasively about your insights.
- Foresee user trends and industry shifts, positioning our products at the forefront of the hearables market. Your strategic input will guide the long-term roadmap of our product portfolio.

Your other responsibilities:

- Develop and refine our research methodologies to stay cutting-edge in your approach.

- Mentor junior researchers, shaping the future of our insights team with your expertise.
- Regularly report on research progress and outcomes, ensuring all stakeholders are aligned and informed.
- Contribute to strategic discussions on product direction and user experience design.

How you’ll succeed as a Senior User Insights Researcher:

In this role, your ability to dissect complex datasets and extract meaningful insights will be critical. Your day-to-day will involve synthesizing information from diverse sources to develop an in-depth understanding of user needs. You'll need a keen eye for detail and a robust analytical mindset to thrive. With your superior presentation skills, you will translate intricate research findings into compelling, easy-to-understand concepts for stakeholders across the company.

These key competences will set you up for success:

- Proven track record with at least 10 years of experience in user research, particularly within the (physical) consumer electronics sector.
- Strong analytical abilities, capable of synthesizing data to draw clear, actionable conclusions.
- Exceptional communication and presentation skills, adept at conveying complex data in a clear and persuasive manner.
