Job Summary• This role is responsible for leading and managing the entire software quality assurance process within the organization. The role involves setting quality standards, defining testing approach, and ensuring that software products meet the highest levels of quality and reliability. The role leads, mentors, and manages teams of QA engineers and testers, providing guidance, training, and performance feedback. The role develops and implements a comprehensive QA strategy that aligns with the organization's goals and objectives.

Responsibilities• Provides direct and ongoing leadership for an organization of multiple subordinate managers and individual contributors designing and implementing quality assurance and test processes and managing projects for end-user applications, systems software, and firmware running on hardware, local, networked, and Internet-based platforms.• Establishes and enforces quality standards, coding guidelines, and best practices across software development teams.• Identifies bottlenecks, challenges, and areas for improvement within the QA process and drives necessary changes.• Engages with program managers, marketing, supply chain, technical leaders and executives to communicate program status, escalate issues, and guide and influence strategic decision-making.• Manages relationships with outsourced partners and suppliers, including setting expectations regarding deliverables, product quality, schedules, and costs; ensures that team members are effectively communicating and collaborating with outsourced resources.• Proactively identifies opportunities for process improvement and cost reduction.• Manages headcount, deliverables, schedules, and costs for multiple ongoing projects and programs, ensuring that resources are appropriately allocated and that goals, objectives, timelines, and budgets are met in accordance with program and organizational roadmaps.• Performs talent management responsibilities including recruitment, performance management, coaching and career development.• Drives and fosters organization-wide performance standards, expectations, and practices to support ongoing team member and process development.

Education & Experience Recommended• Four-year or Graduate Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, Information Technology, or any other related discipline or commensurate work experience or demonstrated competence.• Typically has 10+ years of job-related experience or 8-10 years of management experience, preferably in software quality assurance, test harnesses and QA focused tools, or a related field.
