About the Opportunity

Contentful’s Senior Director for Pricing Strategy will be responsible for building the next strategic plans for our multiproduct, Enterprise first phase of growth. Reporting directly to the Chief Product Officer, Mairead, together with their Pricing Management team, they will shape and execute future packaging and pricing strategies in line with competitive analysis findings and an in-depth understanding of our customers needs and roadmaps. This role will play a pivotal part in the growth and evolution of our category leading company in the content management space and beyond, with a direct tangible impact on immediate revenue growth goals as well as co-creating future iterations of the product(s) Contentful offers to its existing and future customers.

What to expect? 

  • Set, own and execute the pricing and packaging strategy for Contentful’s products in line with revenue growth goals, helping further solidify the market leadership in the composable content SaaS category
  • Lead the adoption of pricing and packaging models through a comprehensive cross functional (sales, marketing, product, finance) strategy geared towards fast buy-in and adoption
  • Engage with key customers, leading pricing negotiations to an optimal joint outcome for Contentful and customers alike 
  • Provide leadership and mentorship to a team of pricing managers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and development.

What you need to be successful

  • Proven expertise as a Pricing leader in a successful multi product SaaS business targeting enterprise customers on a global scale, where the company was able to over achieve revenue target as a direct impact of your contribution.
  • Highly skilled in pricing competitive analysis in the SaaS (preferably MarTech) industry, with a data driven approach combined with a customer centric mindset 
  • Adaptable leadership style with excellent communication skills and a proven ability to create synergies between Field, Marketing, Product and Finance teams driving towards consensus and joint successful outcomes 
  • Ability to translate vision into strategy and execution, drive change and shift between big picture outcome discussions and detailed product and customer ad-hoc topics
  • You would thrive in a fast-paced environment with competing demands and priorities
