Chewy is currently recruiting for a Procurement Manager reporting to the Director, Indirect Procurement at our headquarters in Plantation, Florida. Chewy is one of the fastest-growing e-commerce enterprises around and is rapidly disrupting the traditional pet specialty channels. You will support the Associate Director, Procurement in leading the organization’s corporate purchasing/procurement function, focusing on corporate purchasing.  This is the opportunity to make an immediate, meaningful and lasting impact to our fast growing company.

What You’ll Do:

  • Advise internal stakeholders on procurement issues, providing support and guidance at all stages of the procurement cycle
  • Select vendors and lead major negotiations within your respective categories
  • Personally develops, leads, and manages larger sub-categories.
  • Develop our preferred vendor portfolio, monitor internal compliance to preferred vendor usage, and develop/enforce standard required terms and conditions
  • Review specifications, analyze market, and select potential suppliers, lead the RFQ process, analyze prices/quality expectations/delivery dates/terms, negotiate prices and terms, and award and communicate orders to suppliers
  • Analyze spend and other data, manage benchmarking and reporting, including presenting them in both quantitative and qualitative formats
  • Conduct the necessary internal due diligence, partnering with other teams in the organization, to build a project’s baseline
  • Research potential suppliers for projects and support in getting NDAs signed with any new supplier
  • Build and analyze complex pricing models based on stakeholders’ requirements
  • Transform multiple and complex streams of information into simple, clear and concise terms to be presented to stakeholders
  • Support the Associate Director in evaluating suppliers through KPIs
  • Domestic travel as needed

What You'll Need:

  • Ability to work on several projects simultaneously
  • Capable of shifting directions as needed based on the urgency and criticality of the project
  • Demonstrate initiative and strong attention to detail
  • Strong analytical background
  • Ability to flourish in an environment of fast growth and ambiguity
  • Strategic thinking mindset to define the best negotiation methodology/tactic per project to maximize goals and achievements
  • Strong negotiations skills, a history of creating value for organizations, passion for achieving and demonstrating results
  • BA or BS required; MBA preferred. Procurement Certifications are a plus.
  • Demonstrated ability of working with and managing cross functional teams in a global, complex, changing environment to deliver value-added results to the organization.
  • 6+ years of experience in Global Strategic Sourcing Procurement organizations
  • Coupa experience a plus
  • Exceptional organizational and project management skills to be able to work on multiple initiatives simultaneously
  • Ability to comfortably work in an intensely deadline-oriented and data driven environment
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with both internal and external stakeholders
  • Strong working knowledge of standard Microsoft Office application
  • Intermediate to Advanced level Excel proficiency
  • Experience running competitive request for proposals (RFPs)
