We are seeking a Remittance Representative to join our Financial Processing Services team within our Core Services Division at athenahealth. Your job would be processing outbound paper claim submissions and incoming healthcare payments on behalf of our clients. But enough about us, let's talk about you.

You are action oriented. You have personal ownership and accountability of your work, attention to detail, excellent time management skills, and adaptability in response to changing work conditions and learning opportunities.

The Team: The Financial Processing Services department works Monday through Saturday 6 AM to 5 PM. Flexibility is required as days and hours are based on work assignment and business conditions. Starting work assignment is usually Monday through Friday 7am to 3:30pm. Overtime is based on business need.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Sitting or standing or walking up to 8 hours/day with an ability to occasionally lift 35 to 50 pounds
  • Sort, slice, and scan incoming mail accurately and efficiently
  • Prepare checks and correspondence into accurate batches to optimize scanning while identifying misdirected mail and appropriate escalations

Typical Qualifications:

  • Strong work ethic including attendance, punctuality, and productivity
  • Willingness and ability to perform repetitive tasks without losing focus
