Position Summary:

The Network & Communications team manage the LAN and WAN connectivity for all locations as well as manage and administer all networking components at the Data Centers. The person will be primarily responsible for researching and implementing innovative solutions to support existing as well as future business strategies. Third level support for I/T systems and services with complex technical specifications or complex business functions is also a requirement. There will also be an expectation to provide expert direction on the strategy to technical team leaders and technical analysts. Alongside this, maintain operational relationships with vendors and Parker locations working with Division staff and other Corporate I/T staff under the direction and guidance of Enterprise management. The ability to lead and/or transforms processes with information technology solutions. Ensure integrity of the critical networking infrastructure, reporting systems, security, resource monitoring. Including implementations, integration, reorganizations, and global connectivity solutions to support and ensure the business goals met and achieved within budget limitations, while maintaining an exceptionally high level of customer service.

Responsibilities:

• Perform the most complex system analysis that includes requirements definition, interfacing with users and providing cost and benefit analysis.

• Research and implement innovative solution to support the ongoing requirements of the business.

• Create standards for I/T systems and services to provide flexibility and maintainability.

• Act as consultant to management on significant issues.

• Continually research and enhance existing networking portfolio to take advantage of new features.

• Provide resolution of critical situation technical problems.

• Provide information to be used to promote the understanding and benefit of technology systems.

• Identify deficiencies in networking systems and recommend solutions/improvements.

• Assist and train Technical Analysts to support networking systems. Provide mentorship.

• Provide information to management identifying personnel, hardware and software needs to provide appropriate levels of systems and services within the corporation.

• Evaluate and manage vendor relationship credibility ensuring vendor/ technology alignment is suited to Parkers requirements.

• Engage in vendor contract negotiations.

• Manage complex projects across teams. Engage with and take a leadership role managing expectations along with members of the project team and division staff.

• Follow the Change Management process to ensure all changes are planned, communicated and documented.

• Being part on an on-call rotation to ensure the core network functions are running efficiently.

• Develop and manage long-term information technology project plans and schedules.

• Act as prime consultant to management on significant issues.

• Interface with IT and other staff throughout the Corporation. Confers with divisional management to analyze current and future network infrastructure needs.

• Prepare and give technical presentations to the team, executives or customers.

• Serve as technical subject expert and resource on all areas relevant to position. Share specialized knowledge with others and represents the company on specific projects.

• Ensure network equipment at core data centers is current and appropriately supported.

Qualifications

Qualifications:

• Degree in Information Systems, Information Systems, Computer Science or an equivalent combination of education and experience which has provided both theoretical and practical knowledge in the field.

• Cisco CCNP preferred (R&S)

• Cisco ACI

• F5 Load balancers

• Gigamon switches

• Demonstrated ability to perform the essential functions of the job typically acquired through 10 years related experience utilizing standard toolsets.

Key Competencies:

• Comprehensive knowledge of networking solutions design and configuration, analysis principles, industry practices, regulations and overall network operations. As this is a highly technical role, a background in Cisco switching and routing.

• Ability to effectively assess, lead and implement continuous improvement in critical and/or high-impact areas.

• This role requires excellent problem solving, analysis and communication skills. It will suit someone who is highly self-motivated, and results driven.

• Cisco CCNA, CCNP, desirable

• Five or more years' experience in Information Technology.

• Knowledge of network technologies such as Routing protocols, Switching, VOIP, Wireless, SD WAN

• Strong written and verbal communications skills

• Ability to adapt to changing business needs and priorities.

• Professionalism: Excellence of work, responsible.

• Knowledge of project management standards, methods and techniques. Ability to work on most complex problems.

• Ability to understand problems from a broad, long-term perspective.

• Ability to develop long range plans to complete complex projects and to develop improved methods and systems.

• Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.

• Ability to effectively communicate and present information to team members, team leaders and Senior Sponsors.

• Ability to effectively demonstrate competencies and participate in goal setting, performance feedback, and self-development activities.
