Work Arrangement:
- This role is based remotely but if you live within a 50-mile radius of [Atlanta, Austin, Detroit, Warren, Pontiac, or Milford], you , or Mountain View] are expected to report to that location Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday, at minimum.
- This job is not eligible for relocation benefits. Any relocation costs would be the responsibility of the selected candidate.
The Role:
General Motors is deepening its focus on software and services, with plans to double revenue by 2030. The Payments team is at the forefront of defining GM's global payment strategy to enable digital purchases of a wide variety of products and services across GM's footprint. The role requires working across business units and countries to enable and optimize new digital commerce experiences both outside and inside the vehicle. The ideal candidate will leverage their deep knowledge of the payments industry to deliver best-in-class payments offerings to our GM customers.
What You'll Do:
- Explore new global payments initiatives and expansion, identify the optimal payment methods to meet the needs of customers in local markets, and ensure compliance with payment industry rules and regulations.
- Analyze costs, trends, and other payment related data to recommend opportunities for improvement.
- Help refine, prioritize and implement payments optimization strategies.
- Partner cross-functionally with Business, Product, and Technology teams to ensure payment initiatives and priorities are well defined, understood, and executed.
- Stay informed of payment industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies.
- Educate internal groups on payment solutions and business impacts.
Additional Description
Your Skills & Abilities (Required Qualifications)
- Minimum of 8 years of payments industry experience with direct experience in global eCommerce and subscription payments
- Strong understanding of end-to-end payments processing, including payment methods - card and wallet-based payments, card networks and rules, acquiring and processing, and the regulatory environment
- Proven ability to collaborate and achieve actionable results, build strong and sustainable relationships, and interact at all levels of the organization
- Strong analytical skills, leveraging data and experience to identify problems and define solutions
- Excellent communication skills both written and oral
- Bachelor's degree

Compensation:
- The expected base compensation for this role is: $108,400 and $169,600). Actual base compensation within the identified range will vary based on factors relevant to the position.
- You also need to include general information about potential commissions, if applicable.
- Bonus Potential: An incentive pay program offers payouts based on company performance, job level, and individual performance.
