Overview:

Blue Yonder is seeking a dynamic Legal Operations Manager to play a pivotal role in defining and implementing strategy and operational excellence for the legal organization, including process improvements, technology innovation and adoption, operational changes, and budget management . Reporting to the Senior Vice President & Deputy General Counsel, this pivotal role requires an organized, detail-oriented, and highly efficient individual with exceptional interpersonal and problem-solving skills.

What you'll do:

  • Lead and oversee the legal operations team, including management of the Global Signature Desk.
  • Design, develop, implement, and refine legal department processes to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Act as a project manager for legal department initiatives, ensuring resource allocation, timeline adherence, and risk mitigation.
  • Support cross-functional company projects, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and compliance standards.
  • Drive technology adoption and optimization within the legal department, including managing legal operations technologies and systems.
  • Evaluate and recommend new technology solutions to enhance departmental efficiency and effectiveness, and partner with IT on updates, implementation, and other tech-related legal department initiatives.
  • Develop and implement metrics and benchmarking to measure key performance indicators and provide regular reporting to stakeholders.
  • Manage outside counsel and vendor relationships to optimize cost-effectiveness and service quality.
  • Collaborate with Finance to manage departmental accruals, budgets, and expenses.
  • Maintain and optimize existing resources, including e-billing, matter management, and contract lifecycle management systems.
  • Cultivate strong relationships with stakeholders at all levels to drive alignment and engagement.
  • Design and conduct legal enablement programs to provide training on legal processes and tools.
  • Oversee and maintain a portfolio of initiatives directed by legal department leadership.
  • Collaborate with legal department staff to support strategic goals and objectives.
  • Maintain departmental organizational charts, website, and communication tools.

What we are looking for:

  • Advanced degrees preferred; High School diploma or GED required.
  • 5+ years of in-house legal operations experience, preferably in a high-growth technology company.
  • Prior experience managing legal operations teams.
  • Familiarity with legal and technology environments.
  • Proficiency in legal department tools and technologies, including Microsoft Office, Adobe PDF, Salesforce, Workday, contract lifecycle management platforms, e-billing, matter management, e-signature, task tracking, data visualization tools (dashboards), etc.
  • Willingness to master tools used in supporting legal teams, including those employing advanced technologies and AI.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to engage various stakeholders effectively.
  • Experience in project coordination, process improvement, and change management.
  • Ability to adapt to evolving business needs and turn requirements into actionable processes.
  • Strategic thinker with problem-solving abilities.
  • Self-starter with excellent attention to detail and the ability to work autonomously.
  • Comfortable enforcing vendor expectations, including legal counsel.
  • Cross-functional collaboration skills.
  • Ability to make decisions and take action in ambiguous situations.
  • Business and financial acumen.

The salary range for this position is: USD $105,261.54 - $132,738.45

The salary range information provided, reflects the anticipated base salary range for this position based on current national data. Minimums and maximums may vary based on location. Individual salary will be commensurate with skills, experience, certifications or licenses and other relevant factors. In addition, this role will be eligible to participate in either the annual performance bonus or commission program, determined by the nature of the position.
